What is SoloFamily?
SoloFamily is the name/lastname given to all the toons that I play on Dark Age of Camelot. I started playing DAOC shortly after game release and after a while I was unable to set aside active time to participate in the group aspects of this popular MMORPG (family ftw) and would be forced to 'solo'(playing alone) often. Due to time contraints, I found myself 'soloing' almost exclusively (another son!), and thus the SoloFamily Dynasty began.
For a few years now, I have had a bunch of level 50 toons (low RR of course) and LGM status of all player crafts as an Albion of the Tristan Server (/cheer Tristanites /salute). I am a co-GM of the guild Benevolence, created by my RL brother Rican, where I play with RL family members as well as the most respectable, upstanding, and cool guildmates I have been honored to know.
When World of Warcraft was released, I regretably took a semi-vacation from DAOC for many months. With the release of the Classic Servers, I have made a full time comeback, and rolled various Midgard and Hibernia toons in an effort to experience more of the game.
I love attempting to conquer mobs of difficulty and that would normally take a few people to complete. I actively play 3 accounts to complete certain encounters or to farm resources. I don't farm for profit, but I might have to soon since the release of Darkness Rising and expensive horseys. My original SoloFamily Farm Team consists of a Servant-specced Necromancer, non-FoP Cleric, and either a Sorcerer, Minstrel, Thurg, or another Necromancer (Sight or Servant, depending on event). Currently, I am raising an Vampiir(45)/Enchanter(41)/Druid combo on the Lamorak server and a Spiritmaster(43)/Shaman(42)/Healer combo on Gawaine.
Hopefully I made this as short and sweet as possible, thanks for visiting, and check back once in a while because I will be posting:
1. Detailed tactics (movies also) on farming for various resources/mobs/encounters.
2. Preferable gear need to perform #1
3. RA's used and why, how, when :)
